Joe Caminiti

Joe Caminiti is a platform architecture and engineering leader who directs Windows and Mac platforms for highly regulated financial services organizations.

Most recently Joe served as Director, Apple Architect & Engineering at Fiserv, the global payments and financial technology provider, where he led the Apple platform and the Microsoft identity, access and compliance controls shared by the firm's Windows and Mac devices.

One identity, one compliance standard, every device, whether employees choose Windows or Mac.

Joe is a member of Jamf's Customer Advisory Board and a former member of Apple's Customer Advisory Board for Mac in the Enterprise, influencing product direction on behalf of large, regulated organizations.

About

During his time at Fiserv and previous financial companies, Joe has set strategy and roadmap for enterprise Windows and Mac platforms, and built and led engineering teams across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. At each firm he has worked closely with executive, Risk, Cyber and business stakeholders to turn regulatory and business requirements into secure, reliable platforms that employees value.

His focus is delivering secure platforms that meet corporate and federal regulatory requirements without letting security get in the way of user productivity. He modernizes these platforms with cloud-based MDM and Zero Trust identity, choosing the right tools for each organization rather than a single vendor. He uses automation to speed delivery and lower operating cost. A career that began in Windows engineering and grew into Apple gives him hands-on depth on both platforms.

Early Career

Joe started out in Windows desktop support and engineering, with roles at UBS, Computer Horizons, Information System Resources and ODI Famor, specializing in software integration, deployment and infrastructure.

At JPMorgan Chase he rose to Vice President, first leading the firm's global Windows application packaging and distribution team, then its global Mac platform. In both roles he sped up delivery while running a leaner operation. He then joined Millennium Partners as an Apple infrastructure consultant, where he built a secure, cloud-based Apple management environment with zero-touch provisioning and corporate single sign-on.

He holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University and studied accounting and finance at Brooklyn College.

Thought Leadership

Through his current seat on Jamf's Customer Advisory Board and his past service on Apple's, Joe has represented the needs of large financial institutions in shaping how the Apple platform serves the enterprise.

"I believe the best security is the kind employees barely notice. A platform should protect the firm and satisfy regulators while letting people work on the device they prefer, ready to go from the first day. I favor identity over network location, automation over manual process, and the right tool over loyalty to any single vendor, so one consistent standard follows every user across Windows and Mac."
